This 40-acre preserve is in a temperate rainforest bordering the Tongass National Forest. Walk along a salmon spawning stream and watch for bears. Bald eagles, ravens, and great blue herons are commonly sighted. Visit a historic sawmill, and watch a Native master totem pole carver at work, and visit the Alaska Raptor Center Ketchikan exhibit.
