Map of Alaska
When a map of Alaska is superimposed over the contiguous 48 states, it covers Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. The most populated area of state is divided into three regions on a map of Alaska including: Inside Passage, Southcentral and the Interior.

Alaska’s most traveled airline takes travelers to the every reach of the 49th state. Airline travel on one of Alaska’s airlines is a fact of life and Alaska Airlines—based in Seattle--has many direct flights from the lower 48. But Alaska Airlines is not the only airline operator in Alaska.

There are a myriad of activities at Denali National Park including: flightseeing, sightseeing, rafting, hiking and fishing in one of the many nearby watersheds.
State of Alaska
The state of Alaska has 34,000 miles of coastline and 3.5 million lakes, active volcanoes and the highest tides in the world. There is more designated wilderness area in the state of Alaska than any other of the 49 and with over 570,000 squares miles its land area is twice that of Texas.
Alaska Marine Highway
Several cities in the Inside Passage can only be reached by air and the Alaska Marine Highway. Administered by Alaska’s state government, the Alaska Marine Highway operates a fleet of vessels built for multiple-day excursions because of the long distances between the many ports of Alaska.
