Sitting right on the shore of Resurrection Bay, the Alaska SeaLife Center is the state's only public aquarium — and a working marine research and rescue facility rolled
into one. The two-story seabird habitat lets you watch puffins dive underwater and pop back up inches from the glass; a pair of massive viewing windows puts you eye-to-eye
with Steller sea lions and harbor seals rocketing past; and a touch tank near the entrance turns every visitor, adult and child, back into a curious kid. Don't miss the giant
Pacific octopus, the wolf eel, or the ethereal moon jellies in the back gallery.
It's the perfect rainy-day stop on a Kenai Fjords day trip, but plenty of travelers plan their entire Seward day around it. Allow two hours — more if you add one of the
premium behind-the-scenes encounters with the octopus, puffins, or sea lions, which are consistently rated among the most memorable experiences in Alaska for kids and
adults alike. The work the Center does rehabilitating stranded marine mammals gives every visit real weight, and the bay views from the deck are worththe ticket alone.
Reservations are timed in peak summer; book ahead andaim for late afternoon to beat the crowds.

Wonderful time at this place. The staff is kind and loves to educate the public. You get to see all the animals up close and there are regular demonstrations so you can see feedings and learn more about behaviors. Animals that can be rehabilitated are released back into thewild, and those that cannot are given a great habitat to live in. The animals seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Tripadvisor Review
Visiting the Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC) was an experience well worth the trip. More than just an aquarium, the ASLC serves a vital role in marine research, education, and wildlife rehabilitation throughout Alaska. Who doesn't love seeing Puffins close up? And that harbor seal is so adorable! And did you know Alaska has jellyfish in that cold water? The center also has a touch tank that everyone enjoys.

These pages are designed to be your one-stop reviews hub. Each of the six attraction reviews is written from firsthand experience and updated for the 2026 season — covering what to expect, who it's best for, how long to plan, and how much you can save with a TourSaver coupon. TourSaver offers three options for 2026: the Statewide package (the complete collection), a SouthCentral & Interior Alaska package (over$12,000 in savings value), and an Inside Passage package (over $3,000 in savings value). Pricing is published on the TourSaver.com order page, and one redeemed coupon typically covers the cost.
Each coupon has a unique book number. You present the coupon (in print or in the app) at the venue's ticket desk — for example, at the Alyeska Tram counter, the Alaska SeaLife Center admission desk, or the Portage sales desk. Some offers require you to mention the coupon at booking; check each listing's fine print before you travel.
Yes. The Alaska Zoo, Alaska Native Heritage Center, Anchorage Trolley, Portage Glacier Cruise, Alaska SeaLife Center, and Alyeska Aerial Tram are all included in the SouthCentral & Interior Alaska coupon collection. The Statewide package includes this collection plus the Inside Passage coupons.
Generally no — TourSaver offers are not combinable with other promotions, and some have blackout dates, capacity limits, or require advance reservations. Each coupon in the book and app lists its specific restrictions and valid dates.
Many travelers love the app because it's always in your pocket, shows a map of every offer, and never gets left in the hotel. Others prefer the tactile print book for gifting or planning. The good news: both formats are supported, and your unique book number works across devices.
